Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
- Begin by preheating your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- If you have a ceramic pizza stone, place it on the lowest rack of the oven to heat up. If you don’t have a pizza stone, invert a baking sheetand place it in the oven instead.
Prepare the Shrimp:
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the peeled and deveined shrimp. Pour in 3 tablespoons of buffalo-style hot sauceand gently toss the shrimp until they are evenly coated. Set this bowl aside to allow the shrimp to marinate in the sauce while you prepare the other ingredients.
Make the Ranch Blue Cheese Sauce:
- In a separate bowl, combine 1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt, 3/4 cup of crumbled blue cheese, and 1 envelope (1 ounce) ofSeasoning Mix.
- Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of buffalo-style hot sauceto the mixture and stir well until everything is thoroughly combined. Set this sauce aside; it will serve as a flavorful base for your pizza.
Prepare the Pizza Dough:
- On a clean, flat surface, sprinkle a light dusting of cornmeal(about 1-2 tablespoons) to prevent the dough from sticking.
- Take the 1 pound of traditional pizza doughand either roll it out with a rolling pin or stretch it by hand until it forms a 12-inch round. Aim for an even thickness throughout.
- Once shaped, carefully transfer the dough to the cornmeal-dusted pizza peelor the back of your inverted baking sheet.
Assemble the Pizza:
- Using a spatula or the back of a spoon, spread the ranch blue cheese sauceevenly over the surface of the dough, leaving about 1 inch around the edge for the crust.
- Evenly distribute the drained and dried banana pepper ringsover the sauce.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on top of the banana peppers.
Add the Shrimp and Toppings:
- Take the marinated shrimp and place them randomly across the cheese layer in a single, even layer.
- Scatter the thinly sliced shallotsover the shrimp.
- Finish by topping the pizza with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheeseand then sprinkle 1/3 cup of parmesan cheese over everything.
Bake the Pizza:
- Carefully slide the assembled pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or inverted baking sheet in the oven.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, keeping an eye on it. The pizza is done when the cheese is melted, the shrimp are cooked through, and the crust is lightly browned. Note that cooking times may vary based on your oven.
Rest and Serve:
- Once baked, use the pizza peel or baking sheet to carefully remove the pizza from the oven. Allow the pizza to rest for about 5 minutes; this helps the cheese set slightly and makes it easier to slice.
- Before serving, sprinkle the pizza with the shaved celeryand carrot strips for added crunch and freshness.
Slice and Enjoy:
- Cut the pizza into 8 slicesand serve. This dish can serve 4 as a main entrée or 8 as an appetizer. Enjoy your delicious Buffalo Shrimp Pizza!
