Thomas lives in Howell, New Jersey. Cooking has always been his passion. It all started at the tender young age of 8 years old when he worked stocking shelves in his mother’s restaurant, “The Gallery” in Woodbridge, New Jersey. At the age of 15, he started working in the kitchen as a dishwasher taking in everything and learning from those around him. By the time he turned 19, he was working as a Line Cook prepping food and plating dishes. He did this for the next few years until an opportunity opened for a Sous Chef. This was a very exciting time for him because now he would be front and center and very involved in the preparation and planning of the seasonal menu, ordering stock, assisting the Chef in overseeing the kitchen staff and filling in where needed. Thomas did this for the next several years.In 1993, when his daughter was born, he purchased his first Weber Grill. That was the start down the path for what would later become the inspiration for his YouTube channel “The Gallery Backyard BBQ”. Thomas has said of the channel, “It is everything I have always wanted, less the added stress of owning my own restaurant. Keep on Grilling-Life is Good.“ From Pizza to BBQ Thomas just loves to cook!!
